We are getting close to our goal! Currently, we are in 5th place from previous years.
We sure would like to end the year #1!!!!!!!
Our district members have now contributed over $462,000 to TRF ytd!
For first timer PHF’s, if you have not already contributed or taken advantage of the Jerry Johnson trust matching funds, please consider doing so as we are going for 100% district participation.

We only have 2 month’s left in this Centennial Foundation year. With your help, we can have a great year end push. Please consider a contribution by following the steps below:

    Public Relations:
We are still promoting the District Conference May 19 -21. It will be held at the Omni Hotel on the beach in Corpus Christi. You still have time to register on the district website. Registration is only $125 and it covers all your meals. Friday night will be a social & fellowship hour, followed by dinner and the entertainment by the Juan Guerra acoustical band. They are amazing!! Saturday morning will be an interactive session while learning about Rotary’s history, current club projects and then closing the morning sessions with RI’s John Hannes to discuss the future of Rotary. After lunch, you will be free to explore the beach, go to the USS Lexington, the aquarium, museums, play golf, go fishing or volunteer on a local Interact project. We will top it off on Saturday night with a fun, fun, fun carnival event for the entire family. See the website for more details. Sunday will be a non-denominational service, followed by the memorial service and the induction to this year’s class into 5870’s Roll of Fame. It will be so much fun for all, so please plan on attending and bringing your kids and grandkids.

Last, don’t forget to keep posting your pictures of your club activities and projects to your club Facebook pages as well as to the districts   #1districtstrong.

    Membership:
Please continue you ask your friends & neighbors to come with you to a project or meeting to peek their interest in Rotary!
We need them as we are flat for the year.

Sharon’s literacy / education project deadline came to an end in March to help your local or school libraries. We had 25 clubs participate and with the help of the Tocker Foundation, we raised over $60,000 for libraries in your communities. Thank y’all for participating and improving literacy in the district.
