Operation Vacation provides fun-filled weekend for a Ft. Hood Military Soldier

Through Operation Vacation, the Rotary clubs of Austin and Killeen along with their industry sponsors arranged a complimentary stay at the Hampton Inn Downtown for SPC Christopher Boyer, his wife Elizabeth and their twin daughters Mia & Erin this past weekend. The family was treated to dinner at two of Austin's most popular restaurants, County Line and Flemings. And the girls got to spend the day at Austin Parks playing miniature golf, video games and go carts before returning to Killeen. This program provides the industry partners: Austin Hotel Lodging Association, Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau, SuperShuttle, Around Austin and Toyota Killeen a chance to say thank you to our soldiers for keeping us safe and protecting our country and for the sacrificing their families must make during their service. The weekend gives these families quality time together in the fun, relaxing environment of Austin and show them how much we all appreciate their dedication!
