Rotary Clubs recognized for their Literacy Service to Austin by BookSpring

Three Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 5870, the Rotary Club of Austin, University Area Rotary and Cosmopolitan Rotary, were recognized today at the BookSpring Literacy Luncheon in Austin on April 17, 2013 as the first Literacy Heroes for their outstanding service to the children of Austin through their donations of scholarships, books and volunteer hours to the Bookspring Literacy program. BookSpring is a program that services children age infant to twelve years old by providing books, reading experiences and tolls to children and their families so they can develop a desire to read and succeed in school.
