A ShelterBox Response Team is on the ground in Texas to determine how best to assist displaced families following Hurricane Harvey's catastrophic flooding. 100,000 homes affected by the flood. 32,000 people forced into shelter. More than 1 million students in 244 school districts impacted.

ShelterBox aid has arrived in the form of blankets, groundsheets, school kits, and solar lamps, while a provision of hundreds of tents is expected today. These tents may be used as privacy tents to area shelters where large numbers of families are being housed, allowing for medical treatment, childcare, and a host of other critical options.

A designated fund for ShelterBox's response to the Harvey disaster has been launched. This fund provides support for all costs associated with ShelterBox’s response to Hurricane Harvey. ShelterBoxUSA.org/harvey
