On October 17, 2024, Rotary Club of Temple presented donation checks to Family Promise of Bell County and Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter (OLAMS) from the proceeds of its yearly fundraising event, The Killer Dueling Pianos that was held on July 11, 2024. This year the total amount raised for the nonprofits was $25,000! The proceeds were split in half and each nonprofit received a check for $12,500!
Receiving the checks on behalf of the nonprofits were Rucker L. Preston, Executive Director of Family Promise of Bell County and Ashley Nicholson, Director of Development, and Georgette Greenwood, Executive Director, of OLAMS. Family Promise provides a support program and shelter to families experiencing homelessness, and OLAMS provides shelter and assistance for women in crisis pregnancies and post-partum. The services these organizations provide to our community are remarkable, and Rotary Club of Temple is honored to support them!
