How best can one describe the 5th Killer Dueling Pianos show other than a resounding success. The 300+ who attended the Rotary Club of Temple’s annual fund raiser rocked the room as the music reverberated throughout the venue.
Funds were raised to support the Rotary Club’s community outreach initiatives including Temple Community Clinic and Churches Touching Lives for Christ food bank. With the final report days away, the Club knows it will just add to the $125,000 that has been contributed to 7 local organizations the past 4 years.
“This is Rotary in action” noted Temple President Kim Langston as she welcomed all and invited non-members to talk with Rotarians tonight about becoming a part of our grassroots based organization.
“We are Temple centric in our localized outreach, by providing scholarships, building and installing little libraries, parks cleanup, volunteering at CTLC with food distribution, recognizing outstanding teachers, providing Thanksgiving dinner to Temple Fire Department, and more, much more. On the global scene, we embrace and support the eradication of Polio worldwide, the building of water wells around the world, the embracement of peace initiatives, and more” she said.
