A new Rotary Youth Exchange adventure is underway for Charlie, who left yesterday for Taipei to begin his year as a Rotary Youth Exchange outbound student. As Charlie begins this exciting journey, he is also continuing a special family tradition. His father was a Rotary Youth Exchange student in the 1990s, spending his exchange year in Norway.
Now, more than three decades later, Charlie is following in his father’s footsteps — experiencing another culture, building international friendships and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Rotary Youth Exchange is about much more than spending a year in another country. It is an opportunity for young people to discover the world, develop a greater understanding of different cultures and bring people together across borders.
From Norway to Taipei, Charlie’s family is showing how the impact of Rotary Youth Exchange can span generations.
