The Rotary Clubs of Austin and Killeen hosted a military family from Ft. Cavazos this week end at the Hilton Austin Hotel through Operation Vacation. Joe Bolash, GM of the hotel greeted SSG Ivann Icao, his wife and their children and escorted them to their room for a two nite complimentary stay with breakfast each morning, a fantastic amenity in their room upon arrival and free parking in the heart of downtown Austin.
The Rotary Club of Killeen through Killeen Toyota provided them with a rent car and gas money. The County Line on the Hill served them an “All you can eat” family BBQ dinner Saturday night overlooking Austin and the Rotary Club of Austin put together back packs for each member of the family with gifts, snacks, drinks, games and gift cards to several fast food restaurants. It is a great way for all of us to thank our military and let them know we appreciate them. Service Above Self.
