The Rotary Club of Austin-Southwest has set a goal to carry out some sort of service project every month.
In August, a group of fellow Rotarians from this club pitched in at Travis Heights Christian Outreach which distributes food to local citizens in need. The task for this project was to bag fruits and vegetables which were added to food boxes for distribution.

On the day of that service project, over 300 families were served as they drove through the pickup area. The cars were lined up for several blocks. Service Chair, Bill Poplin reported, “This worthwhile project is added to the list of Rotary efforts to be of service to our communities.”
