Bastrop Club celebrated District 5870 Foundation successes January 25 with many other area clubs. The club was proud to have 12 people attending, the largest contingent in many years. Attending the Gala is a signal recognizing that the Rotary Foundation is a major force in doing good in today’s world, and that Foundation giving is an important part of being a Rotary member.

Bastrop Club is honored to have 16 Paul Harris Fellows among its membership, many of whom are multiple Fellows. It also boasts three Benefactors, one Bequest Society member, and two Major Donors. One member is a Charter participant in the District’s White Hat Society, signifying they are a Major Donor, a Bequest Society Member, and a Paul Harris Society Member.

Bastrop is consistently an ERAY club and currently recognizes 32 active members. The club’s upcoming New Member Orientation will emphasize the amazing global impact for good that the Foundation represents. In a world still unfortunately divided into “haves” and “have nots,” donating to a trusted charitable fund that can geometrically expand your gift to address needs both at home and needs abroad is a gift in itself.
