The Rotary Club of Waco recently brought smiles and joy to a local family by partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a special project during Service Texas Day. Rotarians rolled up their sleeves to help build a custom playscape for a young girl in the community, creating a space where she can play, imagine, and simply enjoy being a kid.
This meaningful project is part of Make-A-Wish’s mission to grant life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses—and Rotary was proud to be part of making that wish come true.
Service Texas Day provided the perfect opportunity for the club to give back in a hands-on way, demonstrating Rotary’s commitment to service above self. Through teamwork, compassion, and a shared purpose, the Rotary Club of Waco helped turn a dream into reality—one swing, slide, and smile at a time.
Projects like this highlight the incredible impact that partnerships and volunteerism can have in our communities. The Rotary Club of Waco continues to lead by example, showing how even a single day of service can create lasting memories and meaningful change.
