On February 17th, The Rotary Club of Marble Falls hosted  Career Day for juniors from Marble Falls High School and Faith Academy.
Local services, families and businesses offered their time and expertise to curious high schoolers looking to further their education in a variety of occupations.  Chair persons for the event were David & Nancy Yturri, supported by Lorinda Peters, club president and Kim Kankel, president elect.  Included in the career opportunities presented were firefighting and EMS services, animal science, airport flight, air traffic control, nursing, auto body shop, cosmetology and art, among many others.  Students had the chance to interact with professionals from every level, to participate in hands-on practices and learn what it takes to acquire such a career.  The purpose of Career Day is to engage students in opportunities they may not yet know are available to them and give direction for further training and education beyond high school.
