Reveal Resource Center is a nonprofit food pantry and clothes closet serving over 400 low-to-moderate income families weekly. This represents 1,300 to 1.500 people. Rotarian Linda Starnes serves as the pantry’s Executive Director. Linda commented, “each week Real Resource Center distributes 15,000 to 20,000 pounds of food with the help of volunteer ‘servants’.
Rotarian Heather commented, “Our diaper ministry serves families with babies and small children from all over the greater Austin area. Every month, we distribute thousands of diapers and pull-ups in order to help fill the needs of parents and caretakers in our community. I love being a part of this mission because taking care of children and supporting struggling families are among the most meaningful and important things we can do as a community and a society."
Winston Churchill said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. I use this motto as I serve on behalf of Rotarians in Cedar Park-Leander at the Reveal Resource Center.
Serving our community is what makes me a humble person and a Rotarian. I give because others need my service and it makes my soul feel complete. Thanks to all those at Reveal Resource Center that give me a place to service those that are in need said PP Dee Thomas.
