World Polio is October 24, 2021. As World Polio Day, October 24th, approaches, all District 5870 clubs should be planning a way to celebrate the SUCCESS of Rotary International and its fight to eradicate Polio from the face of the earth.
At the peak of the pandemic in the 40's and 50's, over 1,300 people a day were paralyzed or died from polio...but today, there have only been two cases of wild polio recorded this year.  Talk about IMPACT and a reason to celebrate.

If you and your club are needing an idea, the PolioPlus team has provided you some ideas under the Events tab on the District website. Don't let this Day pass your club by.....whether you do something big like a fundraiser, celebrate with another Rotary Club or simply wear a purple ribbon on your shirt, INCREASE the awareness of the Good that Rotary has done in its fight to End Polio Now!!!
