Ignite Impact. Do Better Than Your Best.
Every act of service tells a story…
A special needs adult receives the gift of mobility.
A struggling mother receives formula and diapers for her baby.
A high-risk individual gains access to lifesaving glucose testing.
A beach is cleaner because caring hands showed up, protecting cleaner water for generations to come.
A Peace Pole stands as a lasting symbol of hope.
This is how we IGNITE IMPACT and CREATE LASTING IMPACT.
Through The Rotary Foundation, we have an incredible opportunity to answer that challenge by creating lasting impact for people in our communities and around the world.

As we begin a new Rotary year under Governor Jeff Coleman's theme, Ignite Impact, he is challenging each of us to Do Better Than Our Best. Through The Rotary Foundation, we have an incredible opportunity to answer that challenge by creating lasting impact. This year, Jeff has challenged our district to invest $800,000 in the Annual Fund-SHARE and $58.70 per member to PolioPlus. Those aren't just fundraising goals. They're opportunities to create even more stories like the ones we experienced in Cozumel and to transform lives in our communities and around the world.

Here in District 5870, we've seen that impact firsthand. During our Conference of Clubs Day of Service in Cozumel, we provided 30 wheelchairs, supplied formula and diapers to families in need, offered glucose testing, cleaned local beaches to help protect our oceans, equipped more than 60 children with school supplies, installed a Peace Pole - completing seven projects supporting Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus.
These weren't just projects. They were real people whose lives were changed.
If you invested in The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund-SHARE three years ago, you helped make these moments possible.
Watching someone regain their independence with a wheelchair or seeing the excitement on a child's face as they received new school supplies are moments I'll never forget. They remind me why I choose to invest in The Rotary Foundation every year, because I know those gifts become opportunities that change lives.

Now it's our turn to create the next story. Doing better than our best isn't about comparing ourselves to others. It's about each of us choosing to do a little more than we did yesterday. Through our investment in The Rotary Foundation, those small steps become life-changing opportunities for people around the world and right here in District 5870.
Let's answer Governor Jeff's challenge to Do Better Than Our Best by investing in The Rotary Foundation.
Together, we'll create opportunities.
Together, we'll change lives.
Together, we'll ignite even more impact.
