Happy November and welcome to Rotary Foundation Month!!! It is hard to believe that we are already through 1/3 of our Rotary year…..it TRULY has FLOWN by!!!!
We have lots to celebrate this month so hang on to your hats.
- On November 1, we kick off our first District Wide Project with the presentation of $10,000 to the Central Texas Food Bank. I encourage each of you individually as well as a club to go out and serve in your local food pantry throughout the holiday season.
- On November 4th, we kick off our District Zoom Series with “Empowering Women and Girls” as our topic. We have 3 very impactful women who have not only empowered girls and women around the world but also locally. So make sure you register for the event, either through the email you have already received or on the website and newsletter. PLEASE Don’t Miss This Event!!
- RI President Shekhar Mehta will be here in Georgetown on Sunday November 7th for the opening ceremonies of the RC of Georgetown’s Field of Honor. This event holds honor for so many including our veterans, law enforcement and first responders. Please join us as we celebrate and come and meet Shekhar…and It is Free !!!
- And of course, we will all be celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday later this month with loved ones and friends. We all have so much to be thankful for and this is just one more reason we as Rotarian also celebrate Foundation month in November. Your Foundation giving to others makes life changing impacts to millions of people all over the world every year. Please give this month in appreciation of what you may be thankful for.
