Northwest Austin Rotary Club is sponsoring a food packing event in conjunction with Cedar Park/Leander Rotary Club, Hope Austin, and The Outreach Program, and we invite you to join us. This Community Service Project will pack 9,000 meal kits to feed those needy students who might otherwise not have food over the weekend.

This community project is a fun event where children can participate in costumes. Of course, we can't put all this together without the help from Rotarians. So, in addition to packing the meal kits, we will be volunteering to monitor the evening event "Halloween at the Y," which runs from 4 pm - 7 pm. If you can, please join us for the meal packing, the setup & fun activities, or both. So many community members will attend this and find out what a great organization Rotary is.

There will be a live band and DJ, Tie Dye T-shirt making, Carnival Ride, Bounce House, Petting Zoo, Climbing Tower, Costume Parade, Carnival Games, and Sack Race. Bring your children and grandchildren to enjoy a day of family fun.

Hope Austin provides weekend meals to students who lose their subsidized meals offered during the school week. They ensure the brightest future for our children and the broader community by ensuring they have every opportunity to learn and thrive without hunger. The Outreach Program is to provide safe water, food, medical care, and education to those in need, at home and abroad. The Outreach Program is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation that organizes food packaging events across the US, Canada, and supporting countries, to keep carrying out its mission. Nearly 580 million meals have been packaged to date.
