On Sunday, 27 October, 2024, The Rotary Club of Flatonia rode in the 52nd Annual Czhilispiel Parade in Downtown Flatonia Texas. Representing Rotary’s “FLAGS OVER FLATONIA”, a fundraising program that is managed solely through volunteer efforts of Rotarians

Subscriptions include Rotarians that place a flag at homes or businesses throughout the year during six (6) patriotic holidays. Rotarian Bernie Satterwhite drove the truck pulling the patriatic float, while patriotic songs played on the loud speaker. Parade watchers, young and not so young, waved, took off their hats, saluted, and put their hands over their hearts, showing their love for our country and freedom.
The Flatonia High School Interact Club, sponsored by The Rotary Club of Flatonia, joined the parade with their own float, by spreading news of their service organization, throwing candy to the parade watchers, and having fun! Thank you Interactors!
Flatonia Rotary was founded in 1939 and is guided by the motto, “Service Above Self”.
