RC of Flatonia sponsors the Flatonia High School Interact Club. The hjigh school has students with 67 members in the Interact Club. Their teacher advisor, Mrs. Lora Cherry and the Interact students created a point system for their community service. There were 50 graduating seniors this year.
The 2023 graduating seniors, who participated in Interact and earned the required community service points were awarded an Interact stole to wear over their gowns at graduation. The RC of Flatonia purchased the blue Interact stoles and presented them for the 19 Interact seniors before graduation. The students who were designated as Mr. and Ms. Flatonia High School, were Kaylee Martinez, an Interact member, and Tadan Alvarado, also an Interact member, was also one of the recipients of the Rotary District 5870 Career & Technological Education Scholarships. FHS senior, Arnulfo Ramirez, Interactor, was also awarded the CTES. Congratulations to all the seniors and CTES recipients.
