The Rotary Club of Georgetown recently premiered its new Human Trafficking Awareness video, an impactful project aimed at educating the public and inspiring action. The video highlights community partnerships and real stories that bring both the scope of the problem and the hope of prevention into focus.
The project’s debut included several of the key contributors who made it possible. From left to right in the photo are President Christie, Kyle Borel with the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center (featured in the video), Teri Jansen with Key2Free, also featured in the film, member Glenn Towery, who produced the video, Assistant District Governor Karron Wilson, chair of the Human Trafficking Awareness Committee, video director Ani Jarrett, and filmmaker Joe Olivas.
The club’s 40-foot mobile Human Trafficking Awareness unit and this newly released video are both available to share with other Rotary clubs across the district. Clubs interested in hosting the display or showing the video at a meeting or community event are encouraged to reach out — this is a powerful, portable way to spread awareness and strengthen Rotary’s collective stand against human trafficking.
