The Rotary Club of Georgetown recently completed another Peace Garden installation, this time at Village Elementary, continuing a meaningful tradition that has become a recognizable symbol across the community.
Led by Rotarians Barbara and Joe, the project brought together a strong team of volunteers, including fellow Rotarians Raymond and Tom, as well as members of the Southwestern University Rotaract Club.
Their combined efforts transformed the space into a place designed for reflection, connection, and calm for students and staff alike. Coming up next will be the dedication, where school staff, students, and Rotarians alike can celebrate this meaningful initiative.
Over the years, Georgetown Rotary has installed numerous Peace Gardens throughout the area, each one serving as a quiet reminder of Rotary’s commitment to building peace at the local level. In fact, these gardens have become so well-known that many in the community now recognize them immediately as a Rotary project.
