On Saturday, October 21, Georgetown Rotary Club members, along with family, neighbors, friends, service dogs, and the Round Rock Young Men’s Service League, assisted the local Georgetown chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build twenty beds.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a 100% volunteer organization, builds, assembles and delivers top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need, and the Georgetown chapter serves all of Williamson County. From sawing, sanding, drilling, staining, and branding, the volunteers assembled 20 fully furnished beds. When delivered to families, the beds will include new mattresses, bedding, and pillows. You can learn more about Sleep in Heavenly Peace on their website (https://shpbeds.org/chapter/tx-georgetown/. They are also looking for drivers who can assist with delivering the beds. If your club is looking for a service project for the New Generations area of focus, you can find chapters near you at https://shpbeds.org/chapters/?state=Texas.
