Last night, I was the program for the Club Rotario Oriente de Tuxla meeting in Tuxla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico. I spoke entirely in Spanish about Rotary Foundation Interim visits and led a problem solving exercise in Spanish about the strengths (Fortalezas) and challenges (Desafios)
of this small club’s (about20 members) and their partner club’s  (Bishop California about 30-40) Global Grant. The Grant is training nurses, doctors and mid wives to deal with obstetrical emergencies. It also creates a surgical room in a hospital where there was none for C-sections and other women’s surgeries and trains the doctors in the surgeries. Each one trained, trains others. This project is much needed in Jaltenango and 10 remote villages.
