Marble Falls Rotary Club Sponsors Global Scholarship Student Addie Stone. She has recently left her role as Government Relations Specialist at the Texas Department of Agriculture, where she analyzed legislation, communicated TDA policies, and managed interstate collaboration.
She graduated from Clemson University in 2020 with a B.S. in Agribusiness and a minor in Spanish, holds a certificate in Public Policy Analysis from the London School of Economics, and completed the Governor Dolph Briscoe, Jr. Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Program through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Addie's passion for agriculture and the environment stems from her love of the outdoors and desire to serve others. Guided by the quote “He who serves agriculture serves all mankind,” her professional interests include food security, international agricultural policy, the urban/rural divide, and agricultural innovation. At the Texas Department of Agriculture, she led the Texas Food Access Study and the Texas Food System Security and Resiliency Planning Council.

This fall, Addie will pursue a Dual Degree in the Political Economy of Development, spending a year at Sciences Po in France for International Environmental Policy and a year at London School of Economics for International Development. Her studies will focus on U.S. and E.U. environmental and agricultural policy and their influence on developing countries.

In her free time, Addie enjoys two-stepping, traveling, practicing foreign languages, and outdoor activities. She is grateful to the Rotary Club of Marble Falls for supporting her international educational journey and looks forward to updating club members on her progress.
