Our first meeting of the new Rotary year featured a visit from our partner Club, the Rotary Club of Matamoros Sur (Mexico). Over the years, we have partnered together in several successful matching grant projects. They came to present a program on a potential Global Grant Project.
This meeting was a few days after the horrendous floods in the Hill Country. They came to present their program but also hoping to help out.
They presented our President, Rebekah Goolsby, with a $1000 cash donation to be donated for flood relief. Our Club has forwarded to the District 5870 Keyway account to be donated through our District to the flood relief.
