For nearly 20 years, Larry Baird has exemplified Rotary's motto of Service Above Self, and since joining the Texas Ramp Project in 2012, Larry has dedicated countless hours to improving lives—one wheelchair ramp at a time. Leading volunteers from the Rotary Club of Georgetown and Retirees in Action, Larry has helped lead the construction of more than 600 wheelchair ramps, providing safety, independence, and dignity to individuals throughout our community. His dedication and leadership have also earned him the role of Williamson County Regional Coordinator for the Texas Ramp Project.
Larry's impact extends far beyond the ramps themselves. He inspires volunteers, mentors new team members, and demonstrates what it means to serve others with humility and compassion. Our club was proud to recently recognize Larry with a small token of appreciation for his extraordinary service and for the outstanding way he represents Rotary every day. We are grateful for his leadership, his heart for service, and the lasting difference he continues to make in the lives of so many.
