In June 2024, then-Rotary Club of Killeen Heights President Becky Isbell initiated a program to recognize the service and sacrifice of all of the Rotarians who previously served as Presidents of the club. The club elected to purchase and install commemorative bricks representing each Past President in the entryway of General Robert M. Shoemaker Founder’s Hall on the campus of Texas A&M University-Central Texas in Killeen, which is the venue where the club has met since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.

38 Past Presidents are recognized (two served two terms), starting with the chartering President, Bruce Kilpatrick, in Rotary Year 1985-1986. Five of the club’s Past Presidents – Mike Pinson, Patsy Derr, Ed Mullen, Rich Kaye, and Bob Crouch – all went on to serve as Governors of Rotary District 5870. Past President and Past District Governor Mike Pinson also served as our Zone Director.

This commemoration will be an ongoing opportunity for the club to say “thank you” to those leaders who have fostered its growth and success.
