Georgetown Rotary members once again partnered with the Texas Ramp Project on May 2nd to help improve accessibility and independence for a local resident in Taylor through the construction of a wheelchair ramp. The 20-foot ramp build was led, as always, by Rotarian Larry Baird, who has been a member of the Georgetown Rotary Club for nearly 20 years and joined the Texas Ramp Project in 2012. Larry also serves as the Williamson County Project Coordinator for the organization and has helped lead countless ramp builds throughout the area over the years.
Assisting with the project were fellow Rotarians Holly, Raymond, Mike, Denis, and Michele, who worked together to complete the build and make a meaningful difference for the homeowner and family. Projects like these reflect Rotary’s commitment to hands-on service and demonstrate how even a single morning of volunteer work can have a lasting impact on someone’s daily life.
