Operation Vacation October

FT. HOOD SOLDIER AND HIS FAMILY GETS AN EARLY TRICK OR TREAT HALLOWEEN WEEKEND IN AUSTIN

SSG Phillip Moore, his wife Rosalina and his kids, Ariana and Philip were treated to a fun packed  Halloween R&R weekend in Austin in October. The Embassy Central Hotel hosted two nights for the family in one of their suites and the kids loved the fountains and ponds in the lobby. They dined on a dinner at the County Line BBQ on Saturday night with all the trimmings and enjoyed the Thinkery, Austin Parks and bowling for good quality time for the family. Operation Vacation has been hosting military families each month for the last eight years and it is a great way to thank these soldiers and their families for their sacrifices they experience keeping our country safe. It takes lots of generous sponsors and coordination to provide this special weekend: The Rotary Club of Austin and Killeen; The Austin Hotel Lodging Association; County Line Restaurants; SuperShuttle; Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau ; Toyota Killeen and Around Austin but they love being a part of this inspiring project.
