Rockdale Rotary recently locked arms with Rockdale High School Interact Club to fill bags with nonperishable food items for a program called Pack Pals. Sixteen giant totes were filled with bags that will be distributed to students, not only in Rockdale, but also in Thorndale, Milano and Gause.
There are so many underserved families in Milam County that will benefit. Students do not have to ‘qualify’ to receive goods. A simple form is completed to be eligible. Rockdale Rotary donates to this cause annually because of its impact. Pack Pals has a beautiful slogan…Because hunger doesn’t end on Friday…and that is why our club will continue to support this effort.
