Rotary Club of Pflugerville completed their DAP Grant project on May 12, 2018 with over 40 volunteers from the club, the American Legion Kerlin-Lyerly 154, Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC), and the City of Pflugerville. Their service project this year was to plant 55 trees in Pflugerville.
They planted 45 trees at the new 1849 Community and Sports Park to start building shade for all of their community that will be out there to enjoy the park and sporting events. They also planted 10 trees at the Pflugerville Animal Shelter to provide much needed shade for the workers and volunteers that come out to work with the animals.

Once they decided on the project, their club found out about an amazing opportunity, and applied for a challenge grant through PCDC. To find out more about PCDC, please visit their website at http://www.pfdevelopment.com/

PCDC does a lot of great work in the City of Pflugerville, and graciously accepted their application. They fully matched their total, making the financial contribution to the City of Pflugerville $8,176.
