On Saturday, November 11, ten ACRC club members and several guests joined us at Sunshine Community Gardens for our Pocket Prairie project. We dug up turf grass near the entrance to the garden and laid the groundwork for beds of native wildflowers and other pollinator-friendly plant species.
Under the direction of SCG volunteer coordinator Matthew Johnston, our group contributed a combined 54 people/hours of labor to help create this miniature ecosystem.
