What is Lone Star PETS?
 
Lone Star PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) is Rotary’s training program for Rotary Club Presidents-elect and President-nominees. It is a joint effort of ten Rotary International districts in Texas and Oklahoma, left well-prepared for their Rotary year.
Lone Star PETS prepared over 600 for their upcoming roles through provocative plenary speakers, in-depth breakout sessions, informal fellowship, and networking with Rotary peers throughout Texas. Discussions covered topics such as; The Rotary Club and Rotaract Connection, Push for Polio, Basics, Responsibilities for Club Finances, Membership Development, The Rotary Foundation, How to Start a Rotaract Club, People of Action/Public Image, and much more.
 
The 2023 PETS guest speakers included:

-John T Blount, D.D.S., Rotary Club of Sebastopol, California, U.S.A.
 
-Michael Angelo Caruso teaches people how to be better speakers and presenters to help more people and amp up their careers.
 
-Mary Beth Growney Selene has been a member of the Rotary Club of Madison West Towne-Middleton since 1987, and she served her club as President from 1993-1994.
 
-Gordon R. McInally, President of Rotary International for 2023-24 Debbie Tam and Roger Nichols were honored by District Governor-elect Bob Crouch to represent District 5870 as this year's Rangers.
