With rising tensions around the world there is a rising desire for peace.  It’s what we all want instead of the conflict emerging in neighborhoods, communities, around the nation and throughout the world.
Thankfully, as  Rotarians we have the commitment, the organization, and the tools to be peacemakers and provide people trained to be skilled in conflict management and peacemaking. It is our mission and it is in our hands.
The Rotary Peace Fellowship program is again asking Rotary Clubs to nominate candidates for scholarships for a master’s degree (15 to 24 months)  or professional certificates for career development in conflict management and peacemaking. (1) These are offered for 50 master’s degree students and 80 certificate students through seven premier universities in the world.(2)

EACH ROTARY CLUB (3) can find, recruit, and nominate persons to apply to District 5870 Peace Fellowship Committee for one of these scholarships.   Applications are due May 31, 2022 to the District Committee for the school year 2023-2024.

More information is available by contacting Kent Miller. The applications for the scholarships are to be sent to Kent Miller:  kent.kcm@gmail.com
Peace in the world? It’s what we all want. Nominate a peace scholar candidate.  It’s up to us, my friends.
