The Rotary Club of Austin awarded over $50,000 in scholarships last Tuesday to deserving students in the Austin Texas area. What makes this program special this year is the chair of the program, Vlad Bahrencu (pictured).
Vlad has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Austin for a number of years.However, what is special is he became a US Citizen earlier this year, when he was sworn in by Federal Judge Lee Yeakel.He did an outstanding job of personalizing each introduction. We are very proud of him, as well as the students receiving the assistance.
