On July 30th, the Rotary Club of La Grange teamed up with local favorite Macs Daqs to host a lively Happy Hour fundraiser in the heart of downtown La Grange. Thanks to enthusiastic support from Rotarians, community members, and generous local businesses, the event raised more than $7,000 for Rotary District 5870’s Keyway Texas Flood Relief Fund.

This marks the fifth Happy Hour event since the initiative was launched in response to the 2023 Hawaii wildfires. With over $17,500 raised to date, the model continues to prove its effectiveness—and its heart.
The Winning Formula:
- Partner with a local bar for profit sharing
- Promote through businesses, social media, and the Fayette County Record (who generously donates ad space)
- Spotlight the cause during the event to boost engagement
- Add a fun twist—raffles, door prizes, or silent auctions
Held from 5:00–7:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings (our crowd-pleasing choice), these events fuse fellowship with purpose—turning an ordinary weeknight into a community-driven celebration of service.
