SFC Sean Murphy and his family were hosted in Austin by the Sonesta Select North Hotel for two nights last weekend as part of Rotary’s Operation Vacation project to thank our troops.
The Rotary Club of Killeen arranged gas money and a rent car from Toyota Killeen for the family. The hotel comped their room and breakfast and the Rotary Club of Austin arranged gift bags, swim supplies, toys, books, snack and fast food/H‑E‑B gift cards. The family had passes to Austin Parks and Pizza and were able to spend quality time with their family. Sgt. Murphy said, “Everything has been great! The kids really enjoyed the arcade today and are currently taking a short nap. Thanks again for everything! “ This is one of our most rewarding programs. Thanks to Rotary for letting our soldiers know we appreciate them.
