The Rotary Club of Marble Falls was privileged to be able to host Rotary International President-Elect in Marble Falls on Thursday, August 3.
Stephanie flew into Austin on Wednesday afternoon and PDG Ellison and Fay Crider picked her up at the airport and brought her back to the Horseshoe Bay Resort. We had dinner with her that night with the club presidential line and were also joined by DGE Doug Smith and his wife Lisa. On Thursday, we had breakfast at the iconic Bluebonnet Cafe and then took her around Marble Falls to show the impact of Rotary in our city. Stephanie was our program at lunch and knocked it out of the park with her talk on how Rotary clubs can implement the Action Plan. That afternoon, we visited the Beloved Gallery (belovedgallery.org) and relaxed for a little while at the William Chris Winery. We finished off the day with a dinner and "no holds barred" Q&A with Stephanie that included Marble Falls members as well as representatives from area clubs and several other dignitaries. Stephanie told us she had a great time and appreciated the welcoming hospitality of the Rotary Club of Marble Falls.
