Rotarians in Taylor sure were happy there were a lot of hungry people on Oct. 13 as their chicken fried steak fundraiser raised almost twice what they expected.
"The money will be used for our local and international projects," Club President Regina Carlson said, noting that this year's local project is fixing a broken clock downtown and dress it up with a Rotary logo in honor of the Taylor club's 100th anniversary.

This annual fundraiser is expected to bring net about $3600 but this year will bring in more than $6000, plus another $434 for Polio Plus.
"We believe in the power of Rotary in Taylor and around the world," Carlson said, "and we are excited about the future."
