On June 4, the Rotary Club of Temple dedicated a Rotary Peace Pole as a symbol of hope, unity, and our shared commitment to a better world. It was installed at the historic Jackson Park, where Temple Rotarians installed a fountain in 1935. The Temple club’s historical marker honoring its 100th anniversary in 2021 also is at the park.

Inscribed with the message, “May Peace Prevail on Earth,” this Peace Pole reminds us that peace begins with each of us – through understanding, kindness, service, and respect for all people.

As Rotarians, we believe that lasting peace is built one relationship, one act of service, and one community at a time. May this Peace Pole stand as a daily reminder that, together, we can help create a world where people unite and take action to make lasting change.

May all who pass by be inspired by its message and join us in working towards a more peaceful world – May Peace Prevail on Earth.
