The Rotary Club of Temple recently conducted it’s 35th Annual Spaghetti Dinner on November 9, 2018.  Rotarian Jack Morris, who is 86 years young, has led the effort every year since its inception.
Rotarians, Interact Members, American Heritage Girls, and several of the Temple High School Food Service staff join to support the Dinner.

The dinner always takes place before a home football game for the Temple Wildcats, so fans enjoy a great meal that raises funds for the numerous projects that the Rotary Club of Temple supports each year.

Funds that are gathered at the dinner are used to support local projects like the Jackson Park Clean-up, Bell County Livestock Show, Educator of the Month Program, Lakewood Elementary Service Club, and the Tempe High School Interact Club.  Funds also go to support Rotary District 5870 Projects like the Water Wells for Healthy Families in Ethiopia, Barbeque for Veterans, and the recently completed Field of Honor Program.  A portion of the funds also go to support Rotary International Projects like End Polio Now.

This year, the Club served 1660 meals.  Many of the guests eat their meals in the Temple High School Cafeteria, but the Club also has a drive-thru option for guests who want to eat their delicious meal at home.  The Rotary Club also provides meals to several of the government housing facilities in the area, a senior citizen home, and the Feed My Sheep Ministry in Temple.
