The Rotary Club of Temple South and the Rotary Club of Temple joined forces to make Thanksgiving extra special for the eight stations of  Temple Fire & Rescue. Together, they prepared a heartfelt Thanksgiving meal for all eight fire stations, a gesture of appreciation for the firefighters’ selfless service to the community.
Led by District Governor Doug Smith, Club members made a difference by doing something others think just happens. “We sought an impactful project that wasn’t duplicating another organizations outreach and could bring the Temple and Temple South Rotary Club’s together in the spirit of service above self” Smith shared.

The meal delivery, carried out by teams from both Rotary Clubs on Thanksgiving morning, was a labor of love made possible by the generosity and collaboration of local partners. A special thanks goes to Norma Soto at Walmart Supercenter and Dustin Pustka at Pustka’s Family Barbeque for their invaluable contributions. Their support, combined with the enthusiastic participation of Rotary members, ensured the event was a resounding success.

Through this act of service, the Rotary Clubs of Temple exemplified the spirit of giving and fellowship, reminding us all of the power of community and gratitude during the holiday season.
