Two Ft. Hood Military Families Receive Early Valentine Surprises

Two Ft. Hood Soldiers and their families were selected through Operation Vacation for a very special Valentines weekend in Austin. Sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Austin and Killeen, Austin Hotel Lodging Association, Greater Restaurant Association, Country Line Restaurants, Killeen Toyota, Around Austin, Austin Convention & Visitor's Association and SuperShuttle, SSG Christenson and his wife and three children were hosted by the Hilton Austin Hotel and SFC Nelson, his wife and two children were hosted by Four Seasons for a two night stay with all the trimmings(rooms, entertainment, meals and gifts). This is the sixth year these Austin  sponsors have participated in Operation Vacation, an organization that arranges R&R for soldiers who have served tours overseas as a thank you for their service and to give the families quality time together and they have hosted more than seventy families in Austin. What a great way to show these families how much They are loved!
