Did you know the Waco Rotary Club uses donations to the Rotary Foundation to give back to our community? This year, we got to play librarian!
Through a District grant, we awarded $3,713 to Greater Waco Advanced Manufacturing Academy (GWAMA) to buy fiction books. Why fiction? Dr. McCall, GWAMA's head honcho, wants to spark a love of reading in his students. We love that idea!
Our Rotarians even put on their shopping hats to find the perfect books, all while staying under budget (by just a smidge). We’ll be delivered the books in April, along with some career talks from Rotarians in manufacturing fields. It's a win-win for literacy and future career inspiration!
