We’ve Ramped Up a Half Mile of Independence! Georgetown Club Rotarians braved the cold to build another handicap wheelchair ramp. This time in Liberty Hill on January 17.
The 46-foot ramp was the 109th ramp our club has built since joining the Texas Ramp Project in 2012. Larry Baird led the crew and has been involved since the first ramp was built. Larry estimates that our club has built approximately 2600 linear feet of ramp. That’s a half mile!!! I wonder what TxDOT would have charged for a half-mile ramp? It’s a fun way to spend a Saturday morning that gives independence to a newly wheelchair-disabled recipient.
