Join Rotarians from across the district for a special night dedicated to celebrating service, generosity, and the incredible impact of the Rotary Foundation.
The District is hosting a focused public image training, “From Project to Impact: Effective Public Image Strategies for Fundraisers,” on January 20 at 12 PM on Zoom. This session will help Rotary clubs strengthen their fundraiser promotion through clear storytelling, strategic messaging, and consistent branding.
Our Fall Match wrapped up on October 31, and what a season it was. Thanks to the generosity and heart of Rotarians across District 5870, this was our most successful Fall Match in history. Over 92 days, 196 Rotarians stepped forward and contributed an over $170,000 to the Annual Fund.
Across our District, Clubs are making a real difference — feeding families, supporting students, honoring veterans, improving parks, and lifting up neighbors in countless ways. But many of these powerful moments go unseen simply because they are not shared in a way that captures the heart of the impact. Each year Northwest Austin Rotary Club partners with Hill Country Community Ministries for their annual Coat & Blanket Drive. Last year was our first time making tie blankets to donate to their Drive.
On November 9, 2025 Judge "Thor" held court in the Burnet County District Court. He united 7 children with their FOREVER HOMES while his court reporters "Wonder Woman" and "Jasmine" memorialized the tender events.
On Saturday, November 2, 2025, the Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary Club represented by President, Steve Eckstein and Public Relations representative, Becky Lange, delivered a Kentucky Fried Chicken lunch to the Habitat for Humanity crew building a home in Granite Shoals, Texas for/and with Shelby Huggins (she is in the picture with four individuals, Becky Lange, Steve, Shelby and Habitat volunteer, Geoff Murphy.) This project is anticipated to last through March 30, 2026.

The Rotary E-Club of Central Texas was proud to present a donation consisting of four (4) wheelchairs and four (4) walkers, each displaying the Rotary logo. This humanitarian service project fulfills a request from DIF (Desarrollo Integral de la Familia), a community service agency located in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. DIF is dedicated to assisting individuals and families in need by providing essential medical, legal, social, psychological, and emotional support, working to strengthen and preserve family unity.
The Rotary Clubs of Austin and Killeen hosted Sgt. Kirk and her adorable twins from Ft. Hood at the JW Marriott Austin for an R&R fun weekend. This project is called Operation Vacation and is Rotary’s way to thank our military and give these soldiers a stress free weekend for quality time with their family. God bless America and our dedicated military.
Southwestern University Rotaract is experiencing a true renaissance, thanks to the extraordinary leadership of Rotaract President Elizabeth Ayalew, who—together with her dedicated team—has grown the club to unprecedented levels. This week, they inducted an incredible number of new Rotaractors, marking one of the largest growth moments in the club’s history.
Bastrop Rotarians and friends delivered and installed more than 30 beds over one weekend in November! They superbly illustrated our motto “Rotarians in Action!”
The Austin NxNE Rotary Club on November 15th hosted their 8th Rise Against Hunger event. The group along with family, friends and Rotarians from West Austin, NW Austin, Cosmo & E-Club helped package 10,362 meals. To date the Austin NxNE Club has package over 80,000 meals.
The Rotary Club of Austin-Southwest partners with El Buen Samaritano Mission in southwest Austin to help fight food insecurity. El Buen has been the recipient of the Club's DAP grant money (along with additional funds from the Club) for the past 4-5 years.
South Austin Rotary recently hosted its Pints for Polio fundraiser, bringing together more than 20 attendees for an evening of fellowship and impact. Guests enjoyed great conversations and craft brews—all while supporting Rotary’s global effort to end polio. They successfully raised over $1000 to help eradicate Polio around the world!
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our blessings and share with others—but for many families in our community, the holiday season can be a challenge. Thanks to the generosity of Reveal Share Your Blessings, over 350 local families received complete holiday meals this Thanksgiving.
In a heartwarming display of service and gratitude, members of the Temple Rotary Club and Temple South Rotary Club joined forces for a special Thanksgiving project—preparing and delivering meals to firefighters across all eight fire stations in the City of Temple.
Members of the Killeen Heights Rotary Club rolled up their sleeves and took part in a community beautification effort at Long Branch Park. The club proudly planted a Shumard oak tree in support of the City of Killeen’s ongoing park improvement project.
