Is your club losing members or having difficulty in attracting members because of meeting locations, meeting times, affordability? Perhaps it is time to consider a change in your club structure. Our District 5870 fully supports creative secondary structures within its clubs that allow for flexible meeting times/locations and lower dues assessments.
Our district is planning a Rotary Friendship Exchange with District #1810 in Central Germany. We are looking for approximately 10 – 15 people who are interested in going to Germany in October 2025 (Oktoberfest and Grape Harvest!)
Pecan Springs had a fun Halloween nite at the school to provide their kids with a safe way to get treats and play liters y since the Trunks & Treats had to be altered due to rain. These great members of the Rotary Club of Austin sponsored and served pizza at the event.
The Rotary Clubs of Austin and Killeen provided an R&R weekend for a military couple from Fort Cavazos. They received gift cards, snacks and gifts to let them know we appreciate their service.
South Austin Rotary Club gathered diapers, wipes and other paper products for the Manchaca United Methodist Church's Food Pantry during the month of October. Although this Food Pantry is supported by the Austin Diaper Bank, there is never enough to meet the demand for these supplies.
The Rotary Club of Temple South and the Rotary Club of Temple joined forces to make Thanksgiving extra special for the eight stations of Temple Fire & Rescue. Together, they prepared a heartfelt Thanksgiving meal for all eight fire stations, a gesture of appreciation for the firefighters’ selfless service to the community.

Dedicated members of the Copperas Cove Rotary joined forces to support Food for Families by sorting food donations at HEB in Copperas Cove. The annual drive welcomes both cash donations and non-perishable food items, ensuring that all contributions directly benefit those in need within our community.

Bastrop County Club members helped to cook and serve a “Thank You” Thanksgiving luncheon to teachers at Emile Elementary School on November 13. The Club is a community partner with Bastrop Independent School District and participates in BISD’s Adopt-A-School Program.
Rotary E Club of Central Texas joined out DAP grant with Rotary Club of NxNE to work with Rise Against Hunger to create 10,162 meal kits that will be shipped around the globe to those who in special need. This meaningful project was a hands on effort to touch the lives of people facing dire need for food.
President Abe Lincoln came to Marble Falls on Nov. 11th and spoke to the crowd of honored Veterans, First Responders and citizens. In Honor of our Veterans and First Responders, President Abe Lincoln presented a heart felt speech to the crowd about the many "hats" a Commander in Chief wears.

Each year, millions of Americans are affected by this condition, which brings on significant mood changes in response to the changing of seasons. The third phase of the polio vaccination campaign begin Sunday, 11/3/24 in part of the northern Gaza Strip after being postponed from 23 October 2024 due to lack of access and assured, comprehensive humanitarian pauses, intense bombardment, and mass evacuation orders. These conditions made it impossible for families to safely bring their children for vaccination and to organize campaign activities.
