Jennifer E. Jones, a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario, Canada, has been nominated to become Rotary International’s president for 2022-23, a selection that will make her the first woman to hold that office in the organization’s 115-year history.

350 packs delivered and distributed to the students of Pecan Springs Elementary yesterday. 

 

Rotarians from the Killeen Heights Rotary Club and from the Harker Heights Rotary Club joined forces and helped bag and shelve groceries at the Killeen Food Care Center.

The Covid-19 pandemic has created a great deal of pressure on many families to have adequate food and many area pantries are being overwhelmed. Rotary E-Club invites all Rotarians. and friends to join in a mobile food drive on September 30, 3-7 p.m. at 8207 SUMMER SIDE DRIVE, Austin 78759. You can help feed the hungry!

Marlin’s President Marilyn Martin headed up the response (almost overnight) to the need of 40 masks by a local nursing home! Almost immediately, a request for 37 additional masks was received. Again, Rotarians will step up.

The Rotaract Giving Certificate is a new pilot program. to encourage Rotaractors to give to The Rotary Foundation. Rotaract clubs will receive a special certificate, signed by The Rotary Foundation trustee chair, when at least five members of the club contribute a minimum total of $50 or more to The Rotary Foundation over the Rotary year.

Last year the Rotary Club of Marlin needed assistance helping Children’s Protective Services office with simple supplies for domestic violence victims. Rotary Clubs throughout the area and local members stepped up and helped.

Waco Rotary Club Member and Past President, Chris DeCluitt, is a faithful contributor to The Rotary Foundation.  He became a Paul Harris +6 last year ($7,000 in total giving).  He received a lapel pin at each level, from his original Paul Harris Fellow through his PHF +6.
