Clubs continue to post images and other media (cartoons, songs, etc) online in disregard of copyright laws, resulting in a considerable increase in claims activity under the U.S. Rotary Club & District Liability Insurance Program ("Program").
Prospective member recruitment is unique to each and every Club – its membership, city, meeting venue, community service projects, etc. But there are some practices all Clubs and their members can follow to welcome visitors to their Club and plant seeds for future Rotary membership.
Rotary Club Of Addis Ababa Central Mella, the Rotary Club of North West Austin and Water To Thrive are partners in this Environmental project as part of the Rotary Foundation Grant we received to plant hundreds of fruit trees in rural villages in Ethiopia thus finishing a large water well development project.
Killeen Heights Rotary Service Project Peaceable Kingdom: Clearing brush/trees around playscape for installation of a much-needed shade structures This project is an opportunity for us to give back to the community and help create a safe and enjoyable space for children.
The Caldwell Rotary Club held its annual Rabies Clinic on April 18, 2023 at the Burleson County Fairgrounds. For several years now, the club has provided this opportunity free to the public in an effort to make our community safe and prevent disease. We have been able to partner for the past 3 years with the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. This year was another great event with well over 120 dogs and cats vaccinated! Thanks also to Boehringer Ingelhein for providing the vaccines.

The Garden Party is open to the public (with limited capacity) and through advanced ticket purchase. Enjoy live music, catered bites, craft cocktails & wine, rolling out cigars, silent auction, pop-up shopping, yard games, and helping a great cause.
On Saturday, 15 April 2023 the Rotary Club of Flatonia partnered with Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter of La Grange for a fun service event. GJAS brought 8 dogs to Flatonia to meet and greet prospective families for adoption. It was a beautiful day and everyone, including the dogs, enjoyed being outdoors and socializing. Rotary Club of Flatonia also donated 8 bags of dog food to the Shelter. Teresa Stanley Brown, Director of GJAS and Flatonia Rotary are already looking forward to next year's meet and greet!
The Rotary Club of Austin continues to make education available to deserving students, who might not be able to find funding anywhere else. Seventeen (17) students received a total of $78,950 this past Tuesday at the Rotary Club of Austin meeting.
The Tanzania Children’s Choir (TCC) will be in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas-Ft. Worth, & Killeen from late May 2023 until early July 2023 and will be offering concerts at many churches and other venues.
Rotary Club of Taylor honored the top 10% of graduates from local high schools and awarded its $6000 Bunnell-Rotary Academic Scholarship Eva White at the club’s annual scholars banquet on May 1.
Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Austin helps with special events at Pecan Springs in Austin last Friday. Students were given a chance to earn a spot at the event by completing all the educational assignments they were given to help them get ready for the next part of STARR testing. The Rotarians enjoyed working face to face with the students on both water and skill testing.

Dr. Toni Hicks, Superintendent of Jarrell ISD, addresses the Sun City Rotary Club. Dr. Hicks explained the challenges involved in keeping up with the exploding population and corresponding increase of students in the city of Jarrell. The meeting was held at the new Hacienda Senior Living Complex adjacent to Sun City.
Our social gathering was a pure delight and very special. We begin the evening with a meet and greet over appetizers in Alison Batlin's living room and plenty of fine wine to drink.
