Reducing printing can help the environment by reducing the impact of paper, ink, and toner on the environment. The production of one ton of paper can require 12 to 24 trees, which creates greenhouse gas emissions and can lead to deforestation. Paper production also uses a lot of water, and some chemicals used in the process can contaminate water supplies and harm aquatic life.

The Rotary Club of Georgetown joined the McCoy Elementary School Student Council Friday, May 17, to dedicate a Peace Garden, which was designed by the students. Rotary Club President Jeff Cartledge thanked the students for their work to create an environment for peace on their campus.

Maria's Tex-Mex. Their combined dedication and hard work transformed the venue, infusing it with a renewed sense of vibrancy and charm, ensuring it remains a welcoming and inspiring place for future gatherings.
On the first Monday in May, the Rotary Club of Westlake made over 135 sandwiches, packed a truck full of food, drinks, clothing items, and toiletries, and drove the truck to deliver them to Austin’s homeless population. Roger McClain, Carol Barrett, and Dana Rushing made the sandwiches.
The Shiner Rotary assisted the Texas Ramp Project organization in building a ramp for a local family. This is the second ramp that the club has been involved in constructing. It was a hot morning but all had a great time working together for a great cause.
SPC Joshua Lamadrid, his wife and two children from Ft. Cavazos were hosted for an R&R weekend by the Rotary Clubs of Austin and Killeen. They received a complimentary two night stay at the Grand Sonesta Stephen F. Austin Hotel and a Saturday nite BBQ dinner hosted by County Line on the Hill.
Marble Falls High School Interact Club (led by President Kambell Stewart) made a donation to the Highland Lakes Crisis Network (led by Kevin Naumann) for their ongoing community support projects. The money was raised by the Interact students.
Sun City Rotary Club President Debbie Ballou and PE Ted Berriman present an award to the American Heritage Girls Troop TX2911 for their help with the Inaugural First Responders Appreciation Event in Georgetown, TX. Their help with setting up the tables and chairs was a big help in making the event successful.

Tricia Johnson of E-Club Central Texas traveled to Guatemala this month with United By Friendship (UbF) to do a water project to a remote village bringing clean water and education for family health care. E Club's foundation was a partner in this service outreach to help create healthy families.
